Starting on a Journey

I have been thinking about how we start journeys in our lives.

The first step is always to take inventory in our life to determine if the journey is one we want to start.

  • is the journey good for you?
  • is it necessary?
  • is the destination enjoyable?

The second step is setting our mind to the task of preparing for the journey.

  • make a map to your destination
  • determine the pit stops and obstacles that might be on the road you are taking
  • understand the items you will need to take with you and the ones you will need to leave behind

The third step is to set time for the journey.

  • know when you will start
  • know how long it will take

The final step is to actually embark on the journey.

 

I am currently on a journey in my life to become the healthiest I can possibly be in life. This includes, each of the following elements - Mind Soul and Body. Each of these areas is intertwined so when one area is unhealthy the other two suffer as well.

 

Each journey is different based on our individual desires, the destination and the path we take. Not everyone should travel the same path or at the same speed. It is always best to travel your own unquie individual path at your own pace that way you can enjoy each moment of the journey and know that you are moving at a safe speed for your metabolism.
